My thesis, "Unlocking Global Voices: Harnessing Collaborative Online International Learning for Translingual Proficiency in Composition," explores the efficacy of COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) workshops. Conducted between Florida International University and Javeriana University in Colombia, this project involved organizing three distinct workshops. In these sessions, students from both institutions collaboratively engaged in activities designed to enhance translingual proficiency. My analysis focused on how translingualism manifests within this intercultural exchange, assessing communication strategies and language adaptability. The findings aim to provide insights into how such collaborations can foster deeper understanding and proficiency in a translingual environment, contributing valuable perspectives on global communication practices in educational settings.
